Traditionally, our family ran a business of electronics and satellite dishes. However, when encountering economic impacts during the Tom Yam Kung crisis, the business did not run as smoothly as before. As a result, after having a big discussion in the year 2539, we decided to apply for a 7-Eleven business. Our family chose to do this business because before that, we traveled abroad often and saw 7-Eleven overseas opening 24 hours a day. Moreover, we used the service of this brand very often when we were abroad so we personally liked this brand at that time. Consequently, 7-Eleven was the first business that came to mind while we were looking for a new business.
At first, when we started managing the store, we had a problem of managing people but the company had staff who always came to take care of us by giving advice and it was very important as we were learning to do retail business that was different from our own business. In order to manage a 7-Eleven store, we had to do it and learn everything by ourselves which was quite tired, but we intended to learn various management systems until we were able to manage the store successfully until now.
Our children have been in contact with 7-Eleven since they were small, that’s why we plan the future for our children to run 7-Eleven stores after us. Accordingly, we have sent all of them to train with the company so as to prepare them to mange their own stores in the future.
Our family can be called a big family that every member has a strong bond with 7-Eleven since childhood. We have seen many changes whether various technologies to help in the management of the store with convenience or even products and services, showing that 7-Eleven has never stopped developing. The mentioned reasons made us feel confident to inherit this family business further.
In the past, we (children) used to try other businesses because we wanted to try new challenging things for ourselves, but we felt that other occupations or businesses were just striking at the earliest moments. In contrast, we tended to look for stability in the profession so all of us joined the training course of 7-Eleven, the company which has always been with our family for a long time. We want to run the stores to be as successful as our parents according to what they have planned for us. Besides career stability… How many businesses will be able to pass on success to the other family members as our parents have passed to all of us?
